As the alpha-planning dad of all our family vacations, I always had one phrase for my family when they were tired, frustrated, and wondering why our “relaxing vacation” had a minute-by-minute itinerary:

“Fun don’t sleep… let’s go!”

After years of overplanning trips, researching every detail, and dragging my family from one adventure to the next, those words became legendary in our house.

Now my wife and I are getting close to retirement, and “fun don’t sleep” has taken on a whole new meaning. We’ve realized there’s still a big world left to see — and only so much time to see it.

This site will become my outlet to share the travel tips, tricks, lessons, and hidden gems I’ve learned over the years through research, experience, mistakes, and probably a few overly ambitious itineraries. My hope is that maybe something here helps you travel a little smarter, discover something new, or simply feel better about overplanning your own vacations.

Because honestly… sometimes the best memories come from squeezing every drop out of the adventure.
